Human Canvas 2020 Exhibition

The Channell Art Collective team is pleased to announce the highlights from the Human Canvas Exhibition at their representing gallery, Onessimo Fine Art. Wesley Channell presented his series to the attendees of the exhibition which took place in early December.

The Human Canvas is a contemporary art series that reveals emotion and beauty expressed through 58 photographs of hand painted bodies dressed in art inspired from modern-artist great’s of the 20th Century.

Onessimo’s Gallerists curated a safe and socially-distanced show for all to enjoy. The Channell Art team is committed and grateful for the opportunity to highlight 13 of our six foot, dye-sublimation Human Canvas plates on the walls of one of the premier galleries in America.

“The name of the exhibition was God’s Gift, said Channell. “God’s gift of women and the mystery of art are timeless in their contribution to the world.”

This project began with a collaborative vision between Channell and bodypainter, Alexis Logwood. The collaboration led to diverse artistic ideas that went beyond the traditional medium of photography and canvas.

The Human Canvas has been featured in other exhibitions and art shows months prior to the Covid-19 outbreak, such as Photo LA and Scope NY.

Onessimo Art Gallery will be showcasing the Human Canvas Series until 2021, please visit ChannellArt.com for a complete viewing of the Human Canvas series as well as a 3D virtual gallery video walk-thru!
